Description

The 360 degree manual rotating unit is a purpose built laser-optical system that creates a high-definition, visual reference beam for use in measuring conformance with CART’s technical specifications. Typical uses are measurement of side pod height, rear exit diffusers, and front and rear wing heights. Included in this system is a laser target with digital readout and SPC capabilities. Sales through out 1998 include Arciero/Wells Racing, Bettenhauson Motorsports, Newman/Haas Racing, Patrick Racing, Penske Racing, Players/Forsythe Racing, and Target Chip Ganassi Racing. The laser head will be offered to the motorsports public as a component for additional custom solutions. This manual system was featured on Fox Sports TV show “Inside CART” this past summer.
